End-of-year donation to ‘Stichting Leergeld’

A better future starts with education of our youth. More and more families are facing financial difficulties. For many families it is difficult to get their children to participate in sports and other activities, which is so important for a healthy development.

To give these families a helping hand in the new year our HR advisor Learning & Development Iris Heemskerk recently handed over a check of €5,000 as a donation to Stichting Leergeld. We do this together with our customers by converting our business gifts into a donation, supplemented with a bonus from Solvinity. The donation was received with much gratitude and will be put to good use.

Solvinity recognises the importance of education, knowledge sharing and a healthy development of our youth for a better future. That’s why we support initiatives such as Cloud Academy, Azure Academy, Digital Ecosystems Institute and recently started an internal development program named Young Solvineers.

Stichting Leergeld

In the Netherlands, 1 in 13 children live in poverty. The most recent figures from the SCP show that an average of 2 to 3 children per school class live in a poor family. For these children, there is a real risk of social exclusion, because of financial reasons they are unable or insufficient to participate in activities at school and in social life that are quite normal for their peers. ‘Stichting Leergeld’ wants these children to participate! They do this by advising and supporting these families to find the right organisations or financially support them with the costs for clubs and schools.

Would you like to make an additional donation yourself? You can do this via the website of Stichting Leergeld.
