Rijn and Braassem BVO extends cooperation with Solvinity

MSP to continue supplying municipal IT organisation with reliable, secure and compliant cloud infrastructure

The Rijn and Braassem inter-municipal cooperation (BVO: Bedrijfsvoeringsorganisatie) is extending its collaboration with Solvinity, a supplier of secure managed IT services. The new contract will run from March 2023 to the end of March 2027. As part of the collaboration, Solvinity will continue to be responsible for managing the existing private cloud infrastructure and will also provide support with the migration to a new public cloud environment.

The Rijn and Braassem BVO was established in 2018 to bring together the IT capabilities of the municipalities of Alphen aan den Rijn and Kaag en Braassem. The purpose of this inter-municipal cooperation is to standardise digitisation and automation, so that the two municipalities can maintain uniform work processes in combination with a suitable application environment.

In recent years, Solvinity has managed and enhanced the BVO’s infrastructure in its own private cloud. In addition, the company advises and supports the BVO in its transformation into a fully developed administrative organisation. These activities will be continued during the renewed contract term, which shall also include a move to the public cloud with an Azure Landing Zone and the migration of applications to Azure.

In recent years we have made some great strides together with Solvinity in providing our two municipalities with high-quality ICT and expert support,” explains Richan Postmus, Director of the Rijn and Braassem BVO. “We are confident that Solvinity will continue to assist us in the years ahead with further modernisation in the public cloud for secure, future-proof infrastructure.

We are happy about the trust that the Rijn and Braassem BVO has placed in us, and enthusiastic that we will continue working together,” says Nancy Roos-Beukers, CCO at Solvinity. “In the past few years, we laid a solid foundation for an administrative organisation, which we are going to expand and strengthen in the years ahead. We are also able to seamlessly fulfil the need to use the public cloud in the coming period. And because Solvinity is SOC 2-compliant for the complete administrative environment of Microsoft Azure, there is no threat to the security of IT systems.
